Developing Self-Care Superpowers
“I suck at self-care."
“I wish I had more motivation.”
“I envy those who can stick to their goals.”
Whether you’re trying to add healthier choices to your lifestyle, or you’re looking to ditch the shit that’s no longer serving you, you might be one of those people that finds maintaining certain self-care routines…challenging.
Now, I’m not going to lie, creating sustainable self-care practices is challenging. But it doesn’t need to suck, or feel impossible, daunting, or be something you end up resenting. It can actually be, dare I say it, something you enjoy, look forward to, and be successful at.
The second lie I’m not going to tell you is that change happens over night. We live in an instant gratification culture where “easy” sells, and I’m not in the market of selling you false hopes. True, authentic transformation takes time and effort. But I will tell you this: You and your wellbeing are totally worth the investment. No lie.
In this course, you’ll learn about the Five Keys to Creating Self-Care Independence so you can become an empowered, insightful, and motivated participant in your overall wellness.
Yeah, you’re gonna be a self-care badass.
And this is how you’ll do it:
- You’ll develop a growth mindset so you can turn excuses into action.
- You’ll increase your self-awareness, and finally align your actions with your goals.
- You’ll understand the inner workings of your meat suit and mind so you can use their powers for good instead of evil.
- You’ll find your authentic self-care equation and know how to tweak it when the variables change.
- You’ll set practical and achievable wellness goals that make sense in your life.
- You’ll learn how to build and maintain motivation so you can keep your fire burning.
- And finally, you’ll build a support system that keeps you invested and accountable for loving your mind, body, and mother-lovin’ soul.
Now, if this all sounds like an intimidating and tall order, let me be the first to tell you, it’s actually a lot easier than you might think. How do I know this? Personal experience, friend.
Yeah, I’ll admit it, at one time I was a bit of a shit show, and self-care and self-love weren’t exactly my strong suits. But once I learned the basic science of the human body and behavior, taking care of myself started to make more sense.
I’ve also spent years experimenting with different self-care, awareness, empowerment, and love tactics, and figured out some pretty sweet tricks.
Now I practice self-care like a boss. I’m the healthiest, happiest, and most at peace I’ve ever been. And honestly, I feel like I have superpowers.
If I can transform my life, you certainly can, too. I mean, you'll have the whole plan delivered right to your email! How much easier could it get?
Now, let’s dispel some possible bullshit theories that might be keeping you from following through with this course:
I don't have time for these shenanigans.
If you’re worried about time, don’t. The beauty of this course is that you can do it at your own pace. One of the reasons we "fail" at reaching our self-care goals is because we rush the process and have unrealistic expectations. Finding your groove in the self-care world is a long game, so, slow and steady is actually perfect
Self-care is selfish or too indulgent.
I’m willing to bet that if an inanimate object in your life started malfunctioning you’d try to fix it.
Suppose your car breaks down on the side of the road, or maybe the plumbing in your home develops a leak, or god forbid, the wifi crashes. You wouldn’t see fixing these things as selfish or indulgent, would you? Of course not.
The car, the plumbing, the wifi, they all have specific jobs that fulfill specific needs. And you are no different.
YOU have specific jobs that fulfill specific needs.
You have to show up in your life every damn day and care for your people and/or pets, do your job, take care of your home, and manage all your other responsibilities. And if you’re broken down, leaky, and crashing…you’re not gonna do those jobs very well.
Self-care is maintenance. It’s just ensuring that you’re keeping your equipment functioning to the highest standards possible.
Burnout, irritation, agitation, depression, anxiety, over indulging, exhaustion… these are just a FEW signs that your equipment needs some serious TLC. And there’s absolutely nothing selfish or indulgent about giving yourself a tune-up.
I don’t know what to do or where to start.
That’s why you’re here. We’re going to go through this whole self-care thing, step by step. You’ll learn how to recognize what your needs are, and how to go about fulfilling them. But not only that, you’ll also develop a flexible mindset so you can adjust your wellness goals as your needs change.
It’s too hard to follow through or maintain.
It’s only too hard because you haven’t learned how to follow through and maintain certain self-care practices. In this course you’ll get to the root of your true motivators, develop practical, attainable goals, and learn ways to hold yourself accountable.
