Mentoring

Sometimes you just need someone in your corner.
You're reading the books, listening to the podcasts, and buying the cure-all gadgets and supplements. Yet, despite your efforts, you're having a hard time creating consistent, sustainable routines to manage your stress and maintain healthy habits.
Honestly, I have to commend you for making the effort. In today’s world, it’s easy to want to hide your head in the sand and disassociate from all-the-things. But you- you’re doing the best you can with what you've got. And you should be proud of that.Â
So, let's talk about stress. Â
The human brain is going to kick into autopilot when it’s over-stimulated and overwhelmed, and persuade you into reaching for the fastest acting, most familiar dopamine, while subconsciously scrambling to feel safe and in control. This often looks like overconsumption of media, food, alcohol...anything, really.
The bad news is, these behaviors keep you stuck in patterns of chronic stress and unhealthy habits.
The good news is, once you learn the science of stress and pair that with Creative Self Care, you’re going to regain control of your overtaxed nervous system, and get back in the driver’s seat of your life.
Mentoring is when someone shares their knowledge, skills, and experience with another person to help them to progress.
I've been studying the effects of stress and trauma since 2009, and I've made it my job to help others understand and overcome the implications stress has on the mind, body and soul.Â
Chronic stress can affect:
-
Cognitive Function: Memory, focus, decision-making, and problem-solving.
-
Physical Health: Your immune system, cardiovascular health, digestion, pain tolerance, and hormonal balance.
-
Energy & Recovery: Sleep quality, cellular repair, and how efficiently your body uses energy.
-
Emotional Wellbeing: Emotional regulation, relationship quality, satisfaction, and resilience.Â
I teach simple, sustainable tools for regulating the nervous system, while simultaneously increasing creativity, and building confidence.
My belief is- you don't need more willpower, or to escape from your problems - you need support, accountability, and a science-backed strategy that works.
Through conversation and Creative Self Care, we'll help you reach your goals by:
-
Understanding the mind-body connection
-
Addressing self-sabotaging thoughts & behaviorsÂ
-
Squashing excuses, guilt &Â shameÂ
-
Building confidence & a sustainable planÂ
-
Maintaining support, inspiration & encouragement throughout our time together
My job is to support and empower you while holding you accountable, so you can confidently make creative self-care shifts that effectively manage your stress and bring practical, pleasurable healthy habits into your life.Â
